Staying organized can sometimes be very hard, especially when your schedule is really hectic, but having a foundation of ways to keep everything in control always works. Staying organized is vital for me, especially with my busy schedule, so I can share five tips for staying organized that always work for me.
1. Writing everything down
Writing things down whether it's goals you want to accomplish, things you need to do, thoughts your are having or goals you have set is always good. Writing things done make them a reality to you, which causes you to think about them until they are done. I always keep a planner and a journal in my purse in case something comes to my mind that I need to write down.
2. Making a to-do list
Starting your day by making a to-do list always works for me. I make my to-do list with things I need and want to get done for the day, so that I stay productive and get things done in a timely manner. It helps to not over fill your to-do list so it seems more easy to get done, try maybe doing 2 big tasks per day and 2-3 small ones or whatever works best for you and your schedule. Nothing feels better than checking off everything on your to-do list. Sometimes also writing down time frames for when you want to get things done is very helpful. To-do lists are my number one necessity to stay organized and productive.
3. Keeping your mind clear
If your mind is not clear and you are not taking care of yourself first then there is no way you will be organized. if your mind is going crazy then you will be too. So make sure you start your productive days and hopefully all days off with a clear mind, yes being productive can create stress, but keeping everything organized can minimize that.
4. Having down time
The really major key to staying organized is making sure that you have one or two days out of the week where you are work free and have time to do some self-care and things that you enjoy, that will take your mind off of your hectic schedule. Sometimes we get so busy with what we have going on, that we forget to just stop and relax, which causes use to get stressed and overwhelmed. Relaxation is key.
5. Keeping a nice work space
Keeping a space where you can sit and just get done what you need to get done really helps me, I feel that I work more efficiently when I am up sitting at my desk rather than laying in bed doing work. A nice work space also helps with completing all things on my to-do list, it puts me in a very productive head space.
I hope these tips can help you become more organize which will generate more productive days
