Buy Black for Black History Month and Beyond.

As we all know it is Black History Month and it is almost coming to an end, but we should celebrate us all year February is just the month we turn it up a few more notches. I feel that it is important to circulate the black dollar into our own communities, black people and black women more specifically have the highest buying power and we spend the most, but only a small percentage of that is circulated back into our communities or black owned business, So I wanted to curate a list of black businesses that you can support for the remaining of the month and throughout the year. We want to make sure that we are supporting each other and uplifting and supporting one another

In the midst of so many things happening when it comes to larger brands and corporations continuously disrespecting us, we need to stop waiting until there is a big incident to decide to support black businesses, let’s be more intentional with our money and how the black dollar is spent. There’s so much potential and quality businesses that are black owned and we need to make sure that we are elevating each other so that we can move from being small and local to established and respected.

I want us to make it a priority to support black businesses even if it’s just once per month and there is pretty much a black owned brand that makes everything from water to clothing, feminine care products, body care etc. So their is no reason why we can’t add a black-owned business into our everyday lives of monthly shopping routine.
