Summer is perfect for distressed shorts and cutting your thrifted jeans into shorts which is exactly what I did to make these shorts I'm wearing that I absolutely love! I am definitely a fan of thigh high boots especially when they are paired with shorts, this combo is a match made in fashion girl heaven. This combo is very chic and edgy, and also brings the bad girl out in everyone. I went simple with this look but not adding any accessories or anything extra but just letting the main components of the outfit be seen.

The Fringe belt
I don't own many belts but when I want to wear one I make it happen and I make it cute! I love the fringe belt accessory and I had something that I knew I could make look just like it but better. I had this fringe skirt that I got a while back and it had gotten shorter since the last time I wore it so I put it over high waist slacks and a white button up pulling the skirt up a little more to give it more of the belt illusion. This outfit turned out exactly how I imagined it would.

Life is what you make it and your clothes can be too! Like I always say there are no rules in fashion and your style is yours for a reason. On this beautiful day I got the bright idea to wear one of my maxi sheer skirt with slips down the side from Forever 21 as a halter top, you know how you imagine an outfit and you put it on and it turns out exactly how you imagined? Well this is was that time! I pulled this skirt up to wear it as a top and paired it with high waisted pants and a black jacket to wear to work, I wore it with a few gold necklaces, gold sandals, and red lipstick as some good accessories and it worked out great and turned into an amazing outfit. Anytime you want to wear something in a way other than what it's made for then just do it!
Always add one accessory before you leave home!
I know that I've previously talked about stacking jewelry but before you get to the stacking stage you need to know how important it is to wear accessories in the first place. There's a quote that says to remove at least one accessory before you leave home but in my opinion you should add one, adding the right or wrong accessory to an outfit can make or break it. The right outfit deserves the right accessories, depending on an outfit it may require a smaller amount of simple and dainty jewelry but another outfit may look better with bulkier pieces (i.e. statement jewelry). You can play up a simpler outfit with more accessories such as a hat, bracelet, rings, necklace etc. In my opinion lipstick also serves as an accessory, having a pop of color on your lips can make your outfit 10 times better. Accessories are vital no matter what it is, just make sure it looks good!

Within the past few days there has been multiple police murders against African Americans, no these are not the first and I doubt they are the last. It is only July and there has been 156 African American lives that have been taken by police and that is only what has been found out about and only from this year not counting all of the homicides from last year and the year before. but all of them have something in common which is that they were caught on video tape, the victims did nothing to deserve this treatment, the officers knew what they were doing and were abusing their power, and that there has been little to no consequences against the officers that committed these crimes even with all of the evidence to prove the wrong that they committed. Police Officers are inducted to "protect and serve' our communities but they have proven that they are the ones that we should be afraid of. Yes All Lives do Matter like people continue to say, but when black and brown lives become excluded from that is when the problem starts. There is no way to say that these are not hate and racial crimes when the officers prey on these people for no reason and spit racial slurs to these victims before killing them for absolutely no reason, 9/10 when these victims lives are taken they are handcuffed proving that they were not resisting arrest or able to defend themselves yet they end up dead and the police create stories to point the finger at everything that could've happen besides what really happen. Brutality against black and brown people has gone on for decades but the way it's done has just changed, but because of technology it is coming to light more because people are using their devices and their social platforms to bring awareness to these crimes. We need to not stay silent but to raise our voices and speak out on what's right and what is wrong, even if you aren't an African American or a minority you are a human and we need to stand together as a human race for justice to be served and equality to be given, stop pretending and start staying aware and speaking up. You can mix any patterns that you want like polka dots and stripes or anything else, Matching isn't something that is necessary, I rarely do it. Beyonce Formation World Tour + My outfit
This past Tuesday June 14th I attended the Beyoncé concert, it was absolutely amazing. This was my third time seeing Beyoncé in concert but every time I see her it feels like the first time, she is an amazing performer and artist, I have loved her since I first heard her music when I was younger. The concert was supposed to start at 7:30 but Dj Khaled didn't come out until about 8pm, he brought out Young Jeezy and Dej Loaf as his guest performers and his whole performance was great even though it was only for about 20 minutes. Beyoncé performed from about 9pm-11:30 and everything was absolutely amazing from the stage sets, the outfits, the dancers and most importantly just seeing her! I chose to wear an all denim outfit, distressed black t-shirt and mesh clear heels. I thrifted the jacket and shorts then distressed them myself and added "$lay" on the back of the jacket in red paint, I bought the t-shirt from Forever 21 and distressed that myself as well, but I ordered the shoes of course and they literally got to me the night before the concert (I would've cried if they didn't come because my whole outfit would've been thrown off lol). Overall I had an absolutely amazing night and it was literally like the best concert I've ever been to!
My favorite body products
Here are the main body products that I use and I only use these three products, I love a good lotion because I love for my skin to be smooth and silky. Years ago my grandmother introduced me to Nivea products and ever since I've been using them and they are excellent, I use the body lotion and the moisturizing cream, I use the lotion on my body and the moisturizing cream on my face and they both keep my skin moisturized 24/7. The third product is the hydrating body lotion from Victoria's Secret which I use after applying the Nivea lotion, it hydrates my skin very well and I love the scent. There's nothing better than great skin and these are the products I use to keep my skin flawless!

#OOTD The Pefect dress for Summer aka Sundress Season
Happy Friday everyone!! Today I chose to wear this cute wrap dress to run some errands, and I absolutely love it, this is my first time wearing it and I wish I would've bought more when I first got it, I purchased this dress from Forever 21 for only $16. This dress has a button in the inside to button on side to the other and then a tie on the outside that creates the slit in the front. Dresses like these are perfect when you just want to slip something on but still be cute, I paired my with a vintage Louis Vuitton cross body bag and lots of gold jewelry!
