Wild Thoughts for the summer
Top: Forever 21// Skirt: Girl Goodies// Shoes: Forever 21// Earrings: H&M// Bag: Zara//
So we've been having a weird springish-summer season, seems like we skipped from winter to summer and then visit spring ever other day. Whether we are in the high 70s or high 80s and 90s I have my pieces ready to come out the closet to play.
For the summer and spring seasons you always want light and airy clothing, nothing that wll weigh you down or have you burning up even more than the sun has you. Staple pieces that always seem to stick around each summer are maxi dresses and skirts and I decided to have some fun with mine.
I took this beautiful green tribal/ floral patterned skirt with ruffles at the bottom and paired it with a fitted cropped top that zipped up the front. You always want to balance out your loose pieces with something a bit more fitted. I added my favorite pair of earrings with gold tassels to add some pops of color. With this look I wanted to keep it very cute but comfortable so I grabbed a small mini bag and some nude sandals to finish the look off. I loved this look and I am in love with this skirt, it's so comfortable and very stylish.
Midi dresses for the Summer Win
Dress: Forever 21// Jacket: Rainbow// Shoes: Fur added by me// Purse: Aldo//
With the weather being pretty cool last week then to this week almost being 100 degrees in Michigan it's always smart to keep good outfit choices around and midi dresses are definitely one of those choices. A good midi dress is the perfect piece when it's either hot or cool, if the weather is cooler you can add a third piece, such as a jacket like I did here or you can just wear the dress when it's hot and add some cute heels or sandals.
Midi dresses are never hard to find and are always available in many colors which allows for them to be so versatile and be able to be worn often. You can get Midi dresses for cheaper at all of the fast fashion retailers or online boutiques. A good plain dress is always good to keep around because you can create so many looks from them and use them as a blank canvas. If you're looking to be comfortable, midi dresses are perfect. Not too short, not too long but just right

Tassels + Lace-Up Detail
Shirt: Ivy Park// Pants: Topshop// Earrings: H&M// Shoes: Forever 21//
I love to mix dressy and casual, because there's no fun in fashion if you can't be comfortable while doing it. I took this oversized black Ivy Park sweatshirt with white lace detailing, that is apart of a two-piece short set and created into a whole new look.
This sweatshirt is perfect to pair with many other looks, because it's solid with cute detailing, I also love the scuba diving loose material. I chose to dress up the sweatshirt with a pair of black jeans with a flared hem. I kept it simple with accessories by just adding a sparkly pointed toe shore, tassel earrings and of course my signature red lip. Outfits like these are perfect for everything from brunches to a night out.

Men's Blazers + Lace-up Booties
Bodysuit: Forever 21// Blazer: Thrifted// Jeans: Forever 21// Shoes: Boohoo//
I love menswear and the fact that some brands are starting to create some women's clothing pieces inspired by mens clothing structures. I love the broad shouldered silhouettes and the baggy but nicely fitted silhouettes for men and I also think they are perfect for women.
When thrifting I came across this amazing men's blazer for only $4, I love the very broad shoulders and the way it fits me. I can do so much with this blazer, like play around with having it worn off the shoulder, worn as a dress with thigh high boots or as an oversized blazer like I did here. I decided to wear tighter silhouettes under the blazer like the bodysuit and jeans so that the blazer could standout, and I wore the tan lace-up boots to bring out the tan lines in the blazer. Sometimes you need just a few great pieces to make an outfit pop, and mine were the blazer and booties and I added the red lip because you can never go wrong with a red lip.

Staying Cozy while Keeping it Cute
Jacket: Boutique in LA (Apologies I don't remember the name)// Turtleneck: Thrifted from Village Discount// Pants: Forever 21// Shoes: DSW//
I love being comfortable, without sacrificing what I like to call my "stylish behaviors". Which involves me wearing a lot of faux fur jackets and also turtle necks, which I love and wish I had more of. As far as comfortable bottoms, I used to not be such a fan of denim jeans, but now I am definitely a sucker for a comfortable pair of jeans.
I bought this comfortable shaggy cardigan while in LA, it sheds A LOT, but its still cute. I paired it with a very comfortable turtleneck that's a tad too big but it works for me and I got it for $2 or $4, which was definitely a bonus. For bottoms I chose this amazing and comfortable pair of high-waisted bell bottom jeans. I loved this outfit because it was so cute yet so comfortable. To keep from having my pants drag on the floor since I'm short, without wearing heels, I put on these amazing platforms and it was the perfect touch to complete this outfit.
There's nothing wrong with wearing sweats, but they aren't particularly my style, so I love a cute and comfortable outfit especially during this season and when I have to go to class and/or work.

Kimono or No?
Kimono: Zara// Short: Forever 21// Pants: Love Culture// Shoes: Akira//
Recently Zara had their sale that happens twice a year and I went in and grabbed just a few things, and this kimono was one of them. Since I purchased it I've been trying to figure out if it is a dress or kimono, but me being me, I'm going to just wear it as both.
I grabbed this kimono for only $12.99 and the original price was $49.99, I love a good deal so I absolutely couldn't pass it up. With statement pieces you usually want to keep your actual outfit ,or the canvas, fairly simple so the attention can be directed to the statement piece. For my outfit I just pulled out colors from the kimono and wore this zipped crop top which is so cute and versatile and a pair of olive green pants, along with one of my favorite pairs. I didn't really wear accessories, because I wasn't really going anywhere, but if I was going out I would have probably added one or two accessories and a cute lipstick.
It's best to get clothing that is versatile and can be worn many ways or more than once. You want to get your money's worth so why not invest in a great closet.
Nah. I said what I said.
Shirt: The Charles H. Wright Museum in Detroit Michigan// Jacket: Forever 21// Shorts: Thrifted// Boots: Akira//
I have done a blog post on this shirt previously, but I will still never get enough of it. The shirt says one word, but I feel that it perfectly represents what Rosa Parks did and stood for on the day she was asked to move her seat on that bus and she didn't , but states it in modern terms.
I stand by the mantra "If you stand for nothing you'll fall for anything." and I feel that it can be translated into any part of life, especially in today's society. This time I styled my shirt a little different, by wearing shorts in the winter, but pairing them with some amazing thigh high boots.
I added a blazer, which gave this look an edgy street style classic vibe, with a panda broach that was passed down to me from my grandmother. This look is great because it's so chill, but like my shirt it makes a great statement
